I would like to buy a tablet. The following specs are important to me:
-10-12 inches
- Keyboard can be connected via cover
- 128 GB memory and / or expandable via SD
- SIM card compatible (4G would be sufficient, does not have to be 5G)
Somewhat future-proof
Would it be especially Use for Netflix, Prime and SkyGo and for surfing, but Microsoft Office should also run on it without any problems
Pen would be nice but not a must.
Budget so up to 800 euro (+ -)
Models that I have already considered: Galaxy Tab S6 LTE & Galaxay Tab S7+ (although the latter is actually too expensive for me). Can you give me smart (possibly cheaper) alternatives or tell me whether the Tab S6 is smart? Is the normal Tab S7 a sensible alternative? I have a Samsung phone. Would actually like to use Android or Windows as the operating system. But you are also welcome to make suggestions to Apple.
I don't necessarily have to play, except for a few daddle games on the go. Have a gaming PC at home.
IPad 8th Gen LTE 128GB (around 600 euro) or iPad Air 4th Gen LTE 64GB (around 780 euro, but only 64GB storage).
iPads are much more future-proof at the software level. I don't know what the Samsung tablets are like. I used to have two cheap ones, but they got very lame.
Android tablets are not really good because of the software. There are few quality apps and only a few apps are adapted to the tablet.
In the case of Samsung tablets, there's also little software affection. Security patches only come every 3 months and new Android versions are also coming quite late for tablets.
Windows won't be the most optimal operating system for your plans.
I would recommend an iPad to you.
The iPad Air could be a good choice, but 128GB and LTE are not available for less than 800 euro.
Note that you need a Microaoft 365 (Office 365) subscription for Microsoft Office on devices over 10.1 inches. It doesn't seem to matter whether Android or iOS / iPadOS.
I already have an Office 365 subscription. That should not be a problem.
Unfortunately, the accessories are extremely expensive for the iPad…
