I set up my home cinema yesterday. I can play videos on my MacBook Pro easily, but as soon as I connect the MacBook to the projector via HDMI cable, the videos load 10 times longer. Whether YouTube or Netflix videos. Someone an idea why that is?
I bet the internet connection is via Wi-Fi.
Yes, can connect to a MacBook Pro now no Lankabel more. But why should the Wi-Fi connection greasy, just because the image signal is transmitted to a projector?
You can connect a LAN cable to MB with an adapter: ---- https://www.edimax.com/edimax/merchandise/merchandise_detail/data/edimax/de/network_adapters_usb_adapters/eu-4208/
What kind of Macbook Pro is it? What kind of resolution does the projector have? In what kind of resolution are you watching the videos?
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
2.3GHz Intel Core i5
Youtube videos on 720p.
The projector has different resolutions in the manual. Unfortunately do not know me with projectors. There, however, is the following:
800 x 600 SVGA
1024 x 768 XGA
1280x800 WXGA
Is a relatively old projector. The resolution looks very good. Only load the videos last forever, as soon as the projector is connected.
Hmm. So in terms of performance, it should not be a problem.
