Last year i watched a movie on netflix. The point was that there were two protagonists, an Asian and an Asian, who knew each other well from an early age. But as an adult she becomes a star chef and I think he has a band or something. So it kind of runs up a romantic plot between them but I have no idea what this film was called and whether it is still available on Netflix.
