Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 or Huawei p40 Lite?

Since my cell phone is already relatively broken I wanted to buy a smartphone for up to 250 euro as a transitional cell phone until I can afford a better one.

Now I have a look at the two that I have given above in the title and found them to be really nice, but do not know which one to buy, so which one is better.

And yes, I know there are no Google services with the p40 lite, but that doesn't bother me in the least.

My cell phone behavior is actually quite normal, I play a few small games, stream films & series on Netflix, Prime Video & Disney +, and take pictures from time to time when I find a great motif.

What do you think could suit me better?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 or Huawei p40 Lite? Or maybe a completely different one?

Ch

Because of the camera and the battery!

Tr

It's a good cell phone

Ch

The best is even a P40 without lite. The surcharge is worth it!

Al

I think that Huawei phones are really the best in the Android area. It's my opinion. That's why I would definitely recommend this model to you.

Le

Well, I would have bought the P40 Pro, but financially it is only enough for a liteπŸ™ˆ

Ch

Then that's ok. There are lite versions for that.

Ic

The battery should also be good

Al

Yup! The battery is bad. With the P40 Lite alone, you can use hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS and all programs that use electricity at the same time all day, at the end of the day you still have over 30%.

Even if you don't care about the Google Apps, the missing Google Play Services are bothering you.

Netflix is an example. You can use Netflix on Huawei devices without Google services, but with severe restrictions. HD playback is not supported, so you'll watch at a maximum of 560p. You can't download any content for this, so you always have to stream. The reason for this is DRM.

I don't know if the same applies to Amazon Prime Video or Disney +.

I would rather recommend a Redmi Note 9S. The 64GB model offers notebook cheaper for 209 euro and the 128GB model offers Xiaomi's own online shop for 229 euro.

If the Mi 9T is back in stock in Xiaomi's shop, I would recommend it for 249 euro. You should be interested in the better display and the better camera.

Thanks for the information with the Play Services!

But I have already searched for mobile phones on other websites and also saw the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, which my wallet would also say yes to. Would you still recommend the Mi 9T to me?

As I said, I have already looked at some pages, including versus.com, and the Note 9 Pro looks a little better from a technical point of view.

The Note 9 Pro has an LCD display, which doesn't always have to mean something bad.

So. Would you recommend the Note 9 Pro or the Mi 9T to me? πŸ˜…

In any case, thanks for your answer! πŸ™‚

Since the Mi 9T is slowly disappearing from the market and therefore slowly becoming more expensive, I would no longer recommend it for this price of around 300 euro.

I have not yet found an EU price for the Redmi Note 9 Pro, if it already exists.
