Why is there no automatic subtitle on the Netflix app?

When I watch a movie or a series in the Netflix app, there's no automatic subtitle if, for example, the actors are speaking in a different language. Can we adjust this someway?

You can adjust that. You start the series / film as normal and then press pause. Then it says "Options" at the top left. If you click on it you can change the language as well as add subtitles in different languages.
