Which YouTube videos to start with (video ideas) + advice?

I started a YouTube channel and have already filmed a few videos. In my first video I introduce myself and talk a little bit about myself (fact video), unfortunately the video wasn't really well received and I think people made fun of me a lot. Actually, I don't really care, but of course it would be cool if I got better feedback in the future. (I think no one was interested in who I'm at the beginning) - My pre-shot (and not yet uploaded) videos are: -Netflix series recommendations (2 parts) -Storytime driving school experience (2 parts / once about a motorcycle and once about a driver's license) -Cocktails test it with my brother (got pretty funny, therefore maybe outtakes as a separate video) -A trip into nature (vlog style) -Snack ideas with little calories…

Ideas that I would still have and would find interesting: -Trying out an eyelash lift from Amazon -Cool gift ideas for men & women -Huge chain reaction through the house with any objects -Weighing vlog (something to eat / gym) -I edit my photos -Telling about past photo shoots (am Amateur photographer)

My question now is what do you think would be well received and what would not?

And do you have any suggestions which videos would be interesting to start with?

I'm W, 21 and I like art, creativity (can draw, cut, etc. Relatively well), sports (paintball, snowboarding, etc.), I'm interested in food, etc.

Not meant badly, but somehow you seem to be missing a real concept for your YouTube channel. Sometimes a video on this topic, sometimes a video on that topic, the viewers can't identify with you and your content. Who do you want your target group to be? What kind of content do you really want to offer?

Gu

Just do ahead if you feel like it and not what other people say. The fun should come first

ca

Hmm yes, I know what you mean, just somehow I'm interested in so many things and would just like to make a video about everything that interests me 😭😂 So my target group think I would also be more female viewers my age

ca

Yes, my brother has already told me that, especially if it didn't attract so much attention, I still didn't waste the time because the videos were fun for me after all 🙈

You might want to set yourself a few goals first.

Who do you want to reach with your videos (target group)?
What are you good at that is entertaining for others?
What do you want to do (comedy, beauties, etc.)?

Then you should make sure that you have good equipment so that the videos are of good quality.

ca

Yes, that's right, so I have good equipment and also Premiere with which I edit the videos. I thought you could mix the content a little bit and do a little bit of everything that the majority might be interested in, such as beauty stuff, exercise and weight loss, hacks and tutorials, etc.

You can cover different things in your videos. But of course you have to convince your viewers that you are actually the "expert" on so many different things, that is, that you can say relevant, helpful, useful, funny, whatever things. That will be difficult, at least without a proper self-marketing concept.

If you want, you can write to me privately, I think that leads too far away from your question.

ju

That sounds like a good breakdown.

I don't know how much time you want to invest in there, but you could upload a video on a topic every week on a designated day. So you have a common thread and build up a certain basis.

It is important that you stay tuned. Few of them were successful with the first video. It took most of them years to get to where they are now.

As you described it, you are probably still in the discovery phase at the moment. That's not bad and you don't have to be surprised if your videos don't go down the way you want them to. Give yourself a try and then decide which content you enjoy the most. Nobody rushes you. Once you've found something, stick with it and align your channel accordingly. From a marketing perspective, it is smarter to pay attention to what people are celebrating the most, but Youtube should be fun first and foremost. If these requirements are met, then you will appear authentic and reach a target group that can identify with your content.

ca

Yes, that's right, I like to write to you privately

Vlog Style - Slimming Vlog, Storytime Driving School Experience

What does vlog and storytime mean?

ca

Yes that's true! It's already motivating to hear and I also think that it takes time. Above all, I also believe that if I upload more videos that are more interesting for the audience, my first video will quickly be forgotten again 😂 (hopefully lol)

ju

Later in a few years it might be fun and you can look back on it and see your beginnings.

May I ask what your name is on Youtube? Would like to haunt you.

ca

Yes, that's right. I'll write you a private moment

ca

Thank you very much for your answer that is already very reassuring to hear 🙈 Yes, I also think that I might just think too much and should just do what I enjoy. Nowadays it's mainly mainstream content because nobody can think of anything creative 😄😄

ca

Vlog means video diary and storytime are stories from your own life (mostly some funny or blatant things that happened to you.

Thank you!
