Disney Plus a flop?

I can only shoot others from within my circle… But…

I've had Disney Plus since day 1 with an annual subscription and pre-order and so on… I find the service in comparison to other giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime but totally… Bad… At the beginning I was there a few times for a few films, mandalories and later Frozen 2… Meanwhile I sit there and think to myself… That Disney + can't offer me anything… It has the old classics… Great. Every now and then films where they got the licenses back… And otherwise… I'm totally bored with the service… Also the other people living in my household * wink * who have the other slots… Actually don't use the service anymore… Goes do you feel like it?

I mean at Amazone and Netflix I always watch something… But at Disney… Mmmh how about you ^^?

I didn't even subscribe because there's no update for the app for my 2016 UHD TV. I didn't want to buy a new television set and I didn't want to plug in "thousand" sticks again.

But I already had similar thoughts. An annual subscription would not have been an option for me, it doesn't have enough content for that. Maybe it's cool when you have children - as a child I also watched the Lion King 20 times in a row and wasn't satisfied. But for me personally, definitely too little content, especially since I get a lot of it through Prime.

Those who do not have small children will find little in the long run. The superhero faction and the Star Wars community should have seen all the films quickly. And then little is left.

I suspect they won't be able to get hold of Amazon and Netflix in the long run. +

I see good opportunities at DAZN, they cover the important sports segment and are technically better than their competitor, Sky, with their speakers.

In short: limited and slowly growing content. As an adult, I would not recommend Disney Plus to any other adult unless you have an affection for Marvel, Disney, and Pixar movies.

Otherwise, my personal experience was: wonderful as a child, but for someone who wants something from every genre and would like to watch different films (including those that were shown in the cinema) e.g. Tenet, is completely in the wrong house.

Most Disney films should be known to everyone and everyone should have watched them. There's nothing new, even the YouTube channel Serien / FilmFlash has already commented that the content is rather 'old' and little new is coming. I totally agree with you. The reasons why I long ago ditched Disney. And as I said, the licenses Disney owns have potential, but probably not enough. Netflix is a much better alternative. Has something for everyone.

Re

That seems to be a total surprise for many that Disney actually has mostly Disney stuff on offer. That is why you inform yourself beforehand.

To your question, I love Disney + and watch it almost every day.

Wa

It doesn't surprise anyone. It's about the principle that the service… Is nice, but compared to other streming giants, it can't offer enough new ^^

And what do you watch every day?

Wi

People are way too spoiled!
In the meantime, streaming content is thrown on the market like confetti at carnival. Everyone constantly needs new input, series are consumed in stages in a few days. There's news about that, even if it repeats itself X times.

In contrast, Disney + communicated from the start how it would go:

Series are only available episode by episode on a weekly basis
Some series are still being shot
certain licenses are still coming in

For this reason I was well aware that Disney + would not be a Netflix and Prime competitor. Rather, it stands for itself. It also has its own specialized target group. That's why I like to watch old classics like classic cartoons or gummy bears at the weekend, as well as a real Disney film with my wife every now and then.

When I'm alone, StarWars is on the side and I'm looking forward to the upcoming Marvel series. For the few eggs a year, I think the offer is completely ok!
