On February 23rd there will be this new category at Disney Plus, which is called Star, where there will be films and series from 16/18.
E.g. American Dad, Family Guy, The Walking Dead etc…
I actually wanted to cancel my D + subscription, but then I found out about it.
Now I wonder if when the content comes to D + like Family Guy & TWD, everything will go away from the other platforms like Netflix. So what about the normal Disney things, too, or not? They are only available at Disney Plus…
Do you think that everything will be removed from Netflix and co. And I should keep the D + subscription?
Over time, yes, but not directly
If that's your name… Do you think they pull the 16/18+ Marvel series like Daredevil over to Disney Plus?
It depends, Netflix actually has the right one, but they could go to Disney because the contract has expired
A license has to expire first and Disney can't just say, so now take it down. Netflix paid money for it.
After the license expires, Disney can tell Netflix that they will not sell the series again. In case Netflix would like to extend the series or film.
And that will certainly be so, because Netflix is now part of the competition through Disney +.
Then I'll probably keep the Disney Plus subscription. I would miss the content that would be omitted too much ^^ There's also a lot of new stuff
If you like to watch Disney related stuff, that would be better. They bought up quite a few companies.
So I would advise you then too.
I would keep Netflix anyway. ^^
Disney has already got the rights to characters like Daredevil again. However, Disney has no rights to the Netflix series. Of course, Disney could buy these from Netflix, but they are currently owned by Netflix.
