I bought the TCl 50DB600 and wanted to find out if the television has something like image burn in?

The website says something about LED technology, so is it an LCD or TN panel?

I don't know that much about that.

I read online that LCD displays no longer burn in but could have had something like image retention.

Do I have to worry if I watch Netflix movies for a long time and the black bars stay on?

I think image burn is only possible with OLED

ja

Burn in is only available with OLED, and only if the same thing is displayed in one or more places for a very long time. The problem does not exist with black bars, as OLED displays switch off the pixels in black areas. I use tiktok about 2pm a week and I haven't had a burn in yet.

If it says there's an LED then it will probably not be an LCD, otherwise it would be LCD.

Of course, black bars can't burn in, only light areas can burn in, i.e. Only those that are not completely black

There used to be real burn-in with tubes

Image retention can happen with OLED, but usually only temporarily and no damage as with BurnIn
