What do you hope for from the actors of the Avatar Netflix series?

Netflix will release an Avatar Real Movie series. Now the characters in the cartoon are based on real cultures etc. The water tribes apparently to the Inuit, Earth Kingdom to China, Fire Nation to Japan etc.

This time, the creators promised that they would no longer allow whitewashing, a good idea, but to be honest, I hope that a live action film will take into account the appearance of the characters and not just their nationality… The water trunk has e.g. Only black-haired characters with bright blue eyes. And I especially want that from Katara.

Unfortunately, this is difficult to do if you only pay attention to being a PC? In itself you can cast the other nations "fairly" purely in appearance. Or how do you see that? What do you hope from the actors (other than that they are good actors)? Or would you care nothing as long as the plot is good?

So I prefer not to expect anything at first… That will be the best… Especially after the terrible movie…

Of course, I also hope that they will look good with the cartoon characters, but also that they will convey the character of the person git. Especially with Sokka. In the first catastrophe real live film, sokka was completely humorless and absolutely the opposite of the actual sokka. I would like the actor to get the jokes from sokka across

Br

Right! I never thought of Sokka. In the film, the actor also seemed to have zero feelings on his face, a complete letdown. Somehow none of the actors seemed to show feelings.

I sincerely hope that you consider adding some of the comics to the series so that you don't end the series with a huge cliffhanger.

I also hope that the character profile of the characters will be met.

Aang was supposed to be the funny, playful and pacifist character he was in the series, bring Sokka the insanely dry and sarcastic humor, Katara the doggedness and high sense of duty to take care of her loved ones, etc.

Both the showrunners of the original series and the martial arts experts who were responsible for the Bändiger choreography were brought on board for the production of the series. In this way, one would like to prevent such a fire tamer from somehow prancing around and the fire then finding its own way. I would also find further character screening very good.

In my eyes, I should especially learn more about Iroh, also about his early contacts with the spirit world before his death, and the contact with the sun warriors and thus the dragons.

Many say that after the completely failed real filming, expectations should be set low, but I'm not of the opinion that everything was done properly to produce a great series.

I also think that expectations should be high. Especially because almost the whole team was brought on board and Netflix seems to be really trying. Therefore I'm convinced that the plot itself should be more than good (and if it goes well, three more seasons will come after book, similar to dead girls don't lie etc.) Therefore I also believe that the only mistake which would still be feasible somehow, can then lie with the actors and their appearance and acting arts
