Is the Bojack Horseman series any good?

Hi many say that the Netflix series Bojack horseman is very good. I want to watch it too, but I don't understand what's so special about the series. I mean the main character is a horse. Have you watched the series, if so is it worth it?

From season 3 the series is good, then from season 6 onwards it goes downhill
