After I finished my Netflix series yesterday, I briefly zapped through linear TV, wavering between disgust and hate ykwim?

On RTL came the glorious show "I'm smarter than evelyn burdecki" and on sat 1 something with "festival of reality stars" or something like that.

I would have loved to put glowing iron in my eyes. Do you know that? I was shocked how deep the TV is now… 5-6 years ago, when I watched linearly more often, it was terrible - but no comparison to today.

It depends on the transmitter. There are now so many stations that you can always find something good somewhere. Of course, if you limit yourself to the gossip channels RTL, Pro7 and Sat1, you will of course not find much quality.

Tell me two stations that you don't think are gossip stations. And on which documents about WW2 or "plane crashes" are not broadcast in a continuous loop.

Did you just catch the right ones with RTL and SAT1 that make Linear TV so terrible. There's enough valuable to see on the ARD / ZDF channels. If necessary also in their media libraries.

ARD, ZDF, all third parties except MDR, arte, the digital channels from ARD and ZDF.

There are still more who watch linear instead of streaming.

Unfortunately, this is the reality today. Anyone who still watches the classic entertainment channels today is well on the way to getting their IQ to room temperature.

Netflix also offers a lot of lousy content. Just as you can choose which film or series to watch with Netflix, you can also choose a channel with linear TV that shows a program that interests you. It remains your own free decision.
