Cuddling with buddy / or not buddy?

well I was with him, watched Netflix. It's hard to say whether we snuggled, he had his head on mine, mine was on his shoulder. His hand or arm was placed on my leg and our legs touched. So we were close together, shared a pillow and lay on his bed. I was also allowed to ruffle his hair. What do you think, was that cuddling?

2) Is this normal among friends? I'm aware of the fact that you hug and clash, but I never had that in such an "atmosphere". It felt different, it was very strange. It was a good feeling, but I also know that I probably shouldn't have too much hope, no idea what he is feeling.
