I recommend the series:
Trollhunter and 3 from above.
Both play in the same universe and are partly related. The universe is called "Tales from Arcadia".
The first part deals with trolls and their hunters, but since I don't want to reveal too much I can only say: it is very amusing and child-friendly. (I'm 20 years old) and I liked it a lot.
The second part is about aliens. Also very worth seeing.
There's a third part where I don't remember the name. It's about magic.
Sam & Cat, Alexa & Katie, the office of magical things (similar to H2O), Backstage, Dance academy… I also watched all of them with my little sister (10 & 15) and found the series really nice!
