Can someone tell me if the Netflix basic version (the one for 8 euro) really has such a bad picture quality? And could someone send me a picture of Netflix in SD resolution?

You can watch it, but it's not nice
It is not an SD resolution, but at least HD ready. So switch to ARD HD, for example, they broadcast in the same resolution.
SD is bad and not worth the money.

I personally have Netflix in full HD, but if you look at the downloads in "standard quality" that is SD.
The big difference is always whether you watch on a small display such as a cell phone or tablet, or just on a television. At least for the latter, I would definitely take full HD, SD is also fine for small displays.
That's why I wouldn't take it.
I just noticed that I chose the wrong one in the survey. Of course meant the other. ^^
It's all a matter of getting used to, in the past it was enough for an analog TV, today I find everything below 4K unsightly, FullHD is not okay, but it is actually no longer fun on larger screens.
