I was thinking about starting Game of Thrones to watch. I know that the series is not available on netflix and you would have to buy it on amazon. That's why I would always have to go to a cinema website that usually works well but often loads a lot. Would it be worth watching? Is the series good? (Please no spoilers)

I finally struggled to see them and will soon be at the end of season 2 and find them quite exciting. Unfortunately, they let many of the main characters die. This already made me very excited about "The Walking Dead".

It depends on what series you like. Anyway, I really like Game of Thrones.
If you like intrigue and power struggles between noble houses, sword fights and battles, Game of Thrones could be something for you. It's also about love, hate, revenge and hunger for power, these are important motivations for the actions of the main characters.
There are also fantasy elements such as occasional magic, giants and dragons. There's a lot of action and, especially in the first four seasons, quite regular sex scenes (which only make up a small part of the plot). But Game of Thrones is also pretty dialog-heavy and quite complex for a television series.
Especially in the first few seasons a lot of places and people and the relationships between the people are mentioned and sometimes events in the series that are some time ago are mentioned again.
