I started Baki on Netflix and am part one episode three. So far I can't imagine what the anime is about. It would be nice if someone could explain to me roughly what it is about without spoilers.
Grappler Baki
Grappler Baki is a manga series by Keisuke Itagaki that has been continued several times and adapted as an anime. It can be categorized into the genres of sport, action and shōnen and deals with the career of the young fighter Baki Hanma. By 2018, more than 65 million copies of the plant had been sold.
In this anime implementation of Keisuke Itagaki's "Baki" manga, we will focus on his "Most Evil Death Row Convicts" story arc. Baki Hanma continues to indulge in his tough training to become strong enough one day to outperform his father Yujiro Hanma - the world's strongest fighter. But now Baki faces a whole new challenge, because five of the most brutal and violent convicts on death row have come together to fight Baki. But they are not after Baki's life - no, on the contrary - but are tired of their own life. Their own strength and fighting skills have ensured that the five hardly encounter serious competition and feel bored with life itself. Now they want to take on Baki to once again enjoy a struggle for life and death, hoping that this can finally put an end to them.

I think the 2018 series is running on Netflix. I only know the 2001 series. It could even be that the Netflix series is a continuation of the 2001 series because it had an open ending (at least as far as I can remember).
On YouTube you can find the first two seasons of the 2000 series under "Grappler Baki German". If the Netflix series should be a sequel, it would make more sense to watch the old series first.
