Violette Evergarden was really a beautiful anime. Great pretender didn't really appeal to me after Act 1. It was good, but that certain something faded with act to act, so I'm not interested in watching season 2.
I'm most excited about Beastars right now, so it's hard to say. I'll stick with violette evergarden, even though I understand that many would call the anime boring.
Personally, I think Bojack Horseman is the best. This series is humorous but also serious. It is also about what can affect a person and what effects certain actions can have. I'm not very good at describing things, mostly not series, but Bojack Horseman is definitely recommended. But watch out, it's also about drugs, alcohol, mental problems and something about domestic violence. Many also think that this series is the most depressing series.
