I've just got Supergirl through the new season, the whole thing won't go until next year, so I wanted to ask if someone knows of similar series on Amazon Prime or Netflix? Where does he have super powers that he has to hide? Like Kara before Lena, for example? Would be super helpful, do not know what to look now. Well Supergirl belongs to Arrowverse and includes: Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Batwoman and Supergirl. They are all related and are all about superheroes. Otherwise I would recommend Pretty Little Liars, How i met your mother, community and Stranger Things based on your watched series.
Misfits is a really good series about superpowers. They are only available on the BBC Channel, which you have to subscribe to on Amazon. I can really recommend it.
You enumerated "Vampire Diaries". Have you seen the spin-offs "The Originals" and "Legacies" yet? I highly recommend it to you!
