Buy bow from the Netflix series Arrow?

I'm a huge fan of the Netflix series "Arrow" and would like to know if the bow that Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) uses in the series can be bought anywhere.

Mo

Have a look at EMP or Elbenwald.

St

Thanks for the quick answer, unfortunately there are only clothes and not the bow I'm looking for.

Mo

Ah ok a shame… Otherwise there are of course Amazon and eBay, but it is questionable whether it is a high-quality product.

You are me, about 3 years ago, I was so obsessed with Arrow. There's actually a bow, but you have to make a whole lot of money out of it.

Anyway, through Arrow, I started archery and joined a club for about a year. Now that I have experience with it, I recommend that you simply buy a bow that looks similar, because there are basically thousands of them.

As a replica, I personally don't know of any shop that actually sells a functional bow, like EMP or Elbenwald.

As I said: Search Google Arrow bow.

(And psst… By the way, hope you know that Arrow wasn't produced by Netflix)

Looking for a compound bow! This is the name of the category of the bow.

St

Yeah, I'm so addicted to this series and started shooting arrows too. Oliver is my idol and I would not rather have a bow like Arrow's. Thanks for the answer, I'll have a look.

And no, I didn't know that, I didn't find out about the production of the series. I've only watched it 100 times on Netflix. Sorry if I gave wrong information.

Green Arrow belongs to the DC Universe (Batman and Superman), there are tons of comics, etc.

Mo

In the summer camp 8 years ago, I also wanted to shoot archery… 1 day before it was planned, I broke my arm and was allowed to watch. 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑

St

I found a very similar bow thanks for the help.

Oweia… 🤣😅

Looks dope. However, I recommend that you first join a club before you buy (if you are not already) and get advice on string tracks, e.g. Left or right bend and size, etc. Since I can't judge it correctly from here. Or at least very imprecise. There you can shoot to your heart's content, have expert advice and at least the right goals, not down in the basement like me.

Doesn't he have a Oneida bow? I also don't know whether I wanted to shoot something like that and also not whether something should be recommended. I don't have the experience with Oneida bows.

In general, in my experience, I would say that the more moving parts there are, the higher the maintenance effort and the more can break.

I would advise learning to shoot with a normal recurve bow. And then if you want something more technical, switch to a compound at some point.

But everyone has to know for themselves. Buying something because of a TV show is definitely not the smartest choice…

I think he wants to shoot with it too. On Emp or Elbenwald he will definitely not get a real functional bow, but at most a decorative item.

Mo

Hm, if these are only decorative items… Difficult to imagine at the price. ^^ Whereby a real bow is certainly much more expensive.

Ad

Certainly they are. The swords of Lord Of The Rings, GOT etc. Are also only cheap, unhardened 420 or 440 steel sheet from the band and cost half a fortune. Then you pay the brand name.

Apart from that, neither Emp nor Elbenwald are bow shops. If you want a functional bow, you always buy it in a specialist shop or from the bow maker yourself.

Mo

I might have wanted to buy the swords at some point, but the price kept me away. Thought it would at least be real and good swords… Then I'd better save the money. ^^

No, these are not "real" swords. If you made any cuts with it, the blade would bend or break. (Apart from that, they wouldn't be sharpened either.)

They are just pure decorative items. You hang it on the wall and you don't do more with it.

Just read the description.

- Purely decorative item

- 420s as I had already thought

- unpolished

- The blade even has a predetermined breaking point 🤣

If you want a real HDR hard. The Darksword Armory have at least the Anduril and Ranger from Aragorn.

These swords can also be used to carry out cutting tests. But have their price…

Mo

Had never really informed me, just the appearance appealed to me. ^^ But really a shame…

Mo

Uff ne that is really too expensive for me and too good to use… ^^

Po

I see everything the same way.

You should heed the advice of DuyLegend and look for a club. And of course don't buy anything before the trial training! Learning archery and flying arrows are two completely different things.

With such films as Arrow as a trigger (or also e.g. Hunger Games etc.) I always hope that the disappointment won't be so great when you get to know the reality of archery. Actors of these series can rarely shoot, and when I look at the photos of him… Oh man, there's still room for improvement, guaranteed:-)

And a Oneida is a maintenance-intensive bow for experienced shooters. And by practiced I don't mean that someone has been shooting around alone with a bow and arrow for some time…

I also say: please heed the advice of the bow's good friend. Right about every detail.
