Do you think that 10 minutes for the theater piece won't work either?

We're doing a performance at school for Christmas in WPU Performing Game.

In some cohorts we appear 3 times.

It can't go longer than 10 minutes, we write the piece ourselves.

So that we performed it 3 times in 30 minutes.

The play is about a girl who meets her boyfriend in the park and suddenly receives a call and has lost her job as a food delivery service for the restaurants for a short time. Her boyfriend offers her to deliver gifts at DHL.

So she packed away with a truck all the way to Bavaria, she drives off the same day but before that she goes to her grandma who gives her a book, The Christmas story where she reads out later because her battery is empty and she is at the rest area and wanted to watch a netflix series.

It is not yet clear whether your friend will be traveling with you.

Reading the Christmas story alone takes 2 minutes.

And at the end the grandma appears again in the last scene.

I have the feeling that it doesn't work. With only 10 minutes.

Incidentally, play the main role with 3 other people.

That's okay!

First, write everything down like a script. Point by point. Read it out loud, play it through with your classmates. Then you will see where you can still write text or where more or less action is necessary and important.

It also seems a bit too much to me for 10 minutes. Of course, it depends on how detailed you want to develop the plot, but 10 minutes go by extremely quickly. You just have to play it through a few times and think about where you can shorten it if necessary
