Is a gap in the resume wild?

I'm 19 and I have a gap in my résumé. The gap is now 1 year and 5-6 months and during that time I haven't learned anything and haven't done any work. I just watched Netflix and YouTube. My mother thinks so because of a gap is already wild bla bla. It doesn't matter if I don't do my job / school for 1-2 years now because I still have to work until 65-70 so 1-2 years or so it doesn't itch anyway. What do you all mean?

So

A gap in the resume is not bad if you can explain the gap accordingly. However, you can't. This is bad

A year after graduating from high school… No, that's really not a problem, if necessary you traveled.

Two years are more critical.

I don't think it's bad, but you have to give good reasons, it's important. They have to get the impression that you are a great hardworking etc. Say just that you applied a lot but it did not fit (or come up with something else) because of a lack of suitable training positions, that did not match your target profession etc. But you would still like to have bridged the time, but unfortunately it did not work, so you are now urgently on the lookout.

I would really take the tip above to say that I was traveling…

It's always good because you show initiative and organization and deal with other cultures and socially with other people.

A year after I had to leave FOS because of too few points.

This is difficult to answer across the board. It is definitely not a plus.

With trainees in particular, you have little to rely on. Therefore you just look at the notes and the overall impression. If someone applies now with great grades, who may have already worked or comes straight from school, then it will be more positive.

It is important in your case that your application documents are top and of course error-free and that you convey your motivation well in the cover letter.

If you get asked about it in the interview, avoid lying, but definitely decorate the truth.
