I have a samsung with a smart hub. When I look at the apps, I see netflix but no amazon prime. How can i install it? Or does it not work on my TV?
Depends on the age of your Smart TV. But there's a kind of app store that you can use to install new apps. If Amazon is not displayed there, your TV no longer supports it.

Then put the router closer or use LAN cable or a Wlan repeater, which is all cheaper than a new TV

The new tv was just a joke. Should I not then connect the LAN cable from the tv to the router?
You need the Fire TV because the TV doesn't have a Prime.
There are adapters for the stick where you can connect LAN cables.
