Defamation?

One person (let's call her Berta) always warns other people to stay away from me. The thing is, Berta and I actually have no problem. She just thinks that I want her and her best friend vög ***. To me: I really don't want that. The trigger was that Berta asked me if she could have Netflix from me and for fun I said: Only if she goes out to eat with me.

So can one speak of defamation? So in that case you could threaten to file a complaint?

Well, your statement was pretty ambiguous. But first try to make it clear to her that there's nothing serious behind the statement. And if she doesn't understand that and still tells others about you badly, then nothing helps but threats and if that doesn't help then just carry out the threat of the ad. (Caution: Dangerous half-knowledge, as a law student you should actually know better than I do, whether that counts as defamation!)

No, I'm not a law student and the thing with the ambiguity has been resolved for half a year. Nevertheless, thanks for a quick reply
