There are a couple of good seasons, yes, for example the first one, "Mörderhaus". Well, it's about the supernatural, but that's not so extreme horror either…
Yes, I would say that it is worth it. Especially the first, seventh, eighth and ninth seasons!
Personally, I always found the beginning of the seasons a bit boring or uninteresting. But after the first episodes it always gets really interesting and exciting. Can only recommend the series. The best in my opinion are the first 5 seasons and Apocalypse.
