Would like to know what is more recommendable and what is better in one than the other. Or are there other, better alternatives?
Netflix has the big problem to be expensive. For HD and multi-device use you have to pay (for the functionality of Prime ONLY for streaming are 12 euro due - without further services). Although Netflix has some exclusive series that are gradually finding their way to Amazon, they do not really have much to offer and are, above all, too expensive given the competition.
Looking at Amazon Prime, you get a bigger movie / series offer for 69 euro a year (5.75 a month) than Netflix, a Twitch premium account, unlimited space for photos and videos in the Amazon cloud, free prime shipping when you buy Amazon, discounts on brand new movies that are not yet included in the flat (with rental option from 99 cents), a Kindle ebook from the lending library a month for free, Amazon music streaming with about 2 million songs and discounts for Music Unlimited AND - what here Convenience - 4K / HDR streaming and use on up to 6 devices at the same time (which Netflix can pay extra).
Therefore, I see no reason to consider Netflix currently - at best as a temporary addition to Prime, if just a series of Netflix has not yet landed on Prime.
Ultimately, Maxdome is not worth mentioning - firstly, because UnityMedia customers get it for free for the contract and quality and content are far below the two top dogs. In addition, Maxdome often has technical problems. Watchever has been discontinued at the end of 2016. You can't get that anymore.
Clear case: I would always choose Amazon Prime again - considering the low cost, the many additional functions and discounts, as well as the very fast growing offer of the streaming flat rate.
I had both and found Netflix better. Netflix has a lot of good in-house productions, as I generally find better choice of movies and especially series.
