I somehow wanted to join the Dragonballs franchise, but I have absolutely no overview of where to start or what chronological order there's. So at least on netflix there are different films, but I always thought it was a series?! The films are then probably before / after the series or from another universe?! And where can you find the series or are there different series from Dragonballs University? And if so, which one is best to start with? And where are the differences between Dragonballs and DragonballsZ?

Dragonball GT is still playing after DBZ but is non canon
Dragonball -> Dragonball Z / Dragonball Z Kai -> Dragonball Super (-> Dragonball GT)
After Dragonball comes Dragonball Z or Dragonball Kai which is just a new edition of Dragonball Z. Dragonball Kai was set to new music, filler episodes were cut out and elements that dragged Dragonball Z out were shortened. Then came Dragonball Super which plays between Dragonball Z / Dragonball Kai and Dragonball GT, but Dragonball GT is completely ignored in the course of Dragonball Super, which means that after Dragonball Z / Dragonball Kai the series has an alternative timeline with Dragonball Super.
Dragonball is the first series, followed by Dragonball Z, the second where Son Goku grew up. After this, Dragonball GT came out on television, but this series takes place after the 4th series called Dragonball Super. So it would be chronologically correct: Db, Dbz, Dbs, Dbgt.
GT can be left out, I found it not as good as Z or Super and there are some things different from Super. Lg
DragonBall → DragonBall Z → (DragonBall GT) → DragonBall Super.
That is the order of the series as they appeared. DragonBall GT is non-Canon and is not officially one of them.
