What requirements do you have to meet in order to become an actor in films and series that are broadcast on Netflix? (Except that of course you have to match the character)
and do you know where to find good auditions?
Acting training would be a start.
Wrong, you don't have to match the character, you have to be able to play it well
You must have an apprenticeship / degree as an actor and should have gained experience in smaller acting jobs beforehand. The beginning is difficult and you will sometimes earn very little
The production companies commissioned by Netflix either do castings themselves or have them carried out by specialized casting agencies.
They then invite candidates specifically or from a pool. Depending on the role, the candidate should have references and, if possible, an acting education.
Well, if you are only looking for brown-haired women, for example, I would not match the character
Brown hair is not a characteristic of character.
Hair can be colored
Hair colors are the least of the problem. Does Jennifer Lawrence always play with her natural hair color? Does Anya Taylor Joy have the red hair of her role? Just.
It is not "wrong" in this case. One speaks of character in the film when one means the person in general.
As an an example:
The character Susi is 1.80 m tall. The casting agency is now looking for girls who are as tall as possible 1.80, ergo who correspond to the CHARACTER DESCRIPTION.
And yes, it is important.
If I can honestly tell you… That's a stupid question.
Please consider the acting profession in general. Then you can answer the question yourself.
If you're serious, you will too.
Audition is not the same as getting a role and becoming a famous Netflix actress. On the contrary. Auditioning means dealing with different characters over and over again, studying them and getting to love them and then NOT getting the role. And after 50 failed auditions, you might get a role.
First of all, in order to get auditions, you either have to register with casting websites or be with an agency. The latter does not guarantee anything either, but it increases the chances significantly because you are represented by someone who has a lot of experience and many contacts (with a good agency).
If you really want that, I wish you all the luck in the world! It's hard but it can also be worth it:-)
By character I didn't mean the personality but the person you play
I only meant that as an example, but what I meant is e.g. If you are looking for someone with brown hair, tanned skin and long legs, for example. Then I don't fit in with it
How many experiences have you already had. Where did you act Theater group? Lay group?
How fast can you memorize and how well can you remember long texts?
