Turn on the Amazon Echo kettle?

Can you turn on the kettle with the amazon echo dot or flex? Or the TV if it is not a smart TV? And can you say that the TV should go to netflix?

With the light I have already found out that you need extra light bulbs but on youtube videos for example they only tell about the sound but I'm not really interested in it.

I'm considering whether I should get it and also wonder whether it is more worthwhile to get echo dot or flex. I don't want to listen to music on it (if radio plays then), I have a great box for that, but for commands like that it would be practical.

You could control kettles with a smart plug.
If the TV is not a Smart TV, you can eventually turn it on using a smart plug, but that's about it.

I'm not sure if it's a smart TV. So I can use Netflix and Youtube at the push of a button on the remote control and can download other apps but only something like weather or something

Then it will be a Smart TV. Then it depends on the manufacturer / model whether and what can be controlled with Alexa.

Telefunken with 55 or 50 inches

If that helps. I'm sorry, I don't know my way around

The models from 2018 appear to be compatible with Alexa. If your TV is older, there would be the Logitech Harmony Hub - but voice commands like "Alexa, play my favorite series on Netflix" will not work. On / off, switching, louder / quieter. Almost everything the remote control could do.

The TV can possibly be switched on with the FireTV Stick and switched to Netflix (but then there are two commands or Netflix was already on).

A kettle (or any other device) can generally be switched on and off with an Alexa-compatible radio-controlled socket. However, the device should not have its own power switch or this would have to remain on permanently.
