Do I have to install all apps like Netflix, Prime etc. On my mobile phone or are all apps already saved on the stick?
Would be stupid if you have to have all the apps installed on your smartphone again.
Nothing is stored on the Chromecast.
You have to have EVERY app you want to "cast" on the Chromecast on your phone.
As far as I know, the respective app must be installed on the smartphone so that it can be streamed via the Chromecast. There's no app stored on the stick itself, it only takes care of the image transfer on the connected screen.
On a laptop or PC, however, streaming can be done directly via the Chrome browser. This has the advantage that the respective website simply has to be called up and no application needs to be downloaded.
