Riverdale season 2 rightly from 16?

So the situation is this: I just watched the first season of Riverdale on Netflix, which is released from 12, and found it very good, which is why I would now like to watch the second season, which is over 16. I'm only 14 and my mother, who watched the series herself, thinks Season 2 is a lot more brutal than the first one. But I also watched all 7 seasons of Pretty Little Liars. Since the two series are so often compared and I have the series "coped" well, although some feel that sometimes already as violent, I think that I can also look at the other seasons of Riverdale.
