Season 5 of Gotham is coming out soon on Netflix and it's been a while since I've seen season 1-4.
Can someone please summarize the most important events you need for season 5? So who is death he lives and how, who is friends with whom and who wants to kill whom. Especially what has become of poison ivy, penguin, Riddler and these 2 women (I think both of Gordon's ex-wives)?
I've already tried episode guides but it doesn't work.
Okay, so penguin legalizes crime and cleans up in Gotham. The police have to play along, which is why Gordon fetches Falcone's daughter to disempower Penguin. She also manages it and is ultimately brought into a coma. Penguin lands in Arkham as a killer. Gordon is chief of police after Bullock's failure.
Meanwhile, Bruce learns more about Ra's Al Ghul and ultimately kills him. He is traumatized and pretends to be a playboy for a while until he comes to his senses.
The riddler is released, but is now stupid. He meets Solomon Grundy (Butch was thrown into a swamp in a coma and mutated into an immortal idiot). They team up and conquer the Narrows, Gotham's slums, with Lee, who has poorly treated their arms.
Ivy pours a potion and becomes Poison Ivy. She grows a flower / bio-weapon and disappears after her failure.
The riddler helps penguin break out of Arkham and penguin and Grundy team up. The riddler stays with Lee.
Jerome breaks out and locates his twin to drive him crazy. Jerome dies but his brother Jeremiah becomes his heir and places bombs all over the city. Evacuation ensues and the city becomes a theater of war between Jeremiah, Penguin, Firefly, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze and the Syrens (Selina, Tabatha and Barbara became a kind of criminal group over the season).
