I don't think Netflix spent as much on it as on other (newer) films. The film is a classic, but pretty much all action fans have watched the film. In addition, younger users will not like to watch the film when it is so old. Netflix pays more for newer films, because that's why many will subscribe to Netflix. So I think compared to other films, Netflix will not have spent so much, because Netflix will not spend so much on a 40-year-old film.
