I wonder if the anime "Tokyo Ghoul" was censored on Netflix? Were scenes cut out there? Because sometimes there are scenes that somehow make no sense to me… But I also noticed that on other platforms like Burningseries.

If Tokyo Ghoul was actually censored, does it really exist? And where can I find it?

Ro

No. It is the Japanese Blu-ray version, which we have on DVD / BD.

Japanese BD releases are always uncut. So if it's already there, eat it here too.

Salmon roll said it all but I want to add yes… The uncut version exists and it's bad. The anime was censored by zooms and bright lights, flashy colors. Tokyo ghoul is not the only anime. I do not now know from the head whether this is the case with tokyo ghoul but many anime also use "unobtrusive" black bars

Idk what the deal is with Tokyo Ghould, it is over all a confusing anime ngl. However, some anime are indeed censored. One example is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. In graphic scenes where peoples limbs are chopped off or vampires are eating humans, they will put a dark spot over the gore so you cant see it. This is indeed a censor as the original version of the anime shows all the gore in full detail.

so what's the point of having netflix if I have to "otherwise stream" the content anyway. Did I as for censorship? No I didn't. Do they have maturity settings? Yes they do. So why are they not honored?*
