can I use Paypal? Will it be charged in the test month?
Is a cancellation expensive? Is it possible a test month immediately
to terminate so that it automatically expires in case I forget to cancel that?

In the test month nothing is charged and the notice is only a mouse click. You can also choose between the HD and standard version.
Is the instant announcement also possible so it just expires after the test month?
Yes, that was the case with me. I quit after a week.

Yes, so I have never heard or experienced that one had problems with netflix. As has already been written here is terminated with a mouse click. And if you want to look again you can continue to use your account.
