Persuade Netflix to go?

I would like to get Netflix, but I don't make any money yet because I go to school and I'm not allowed to do a job, my parents say. I'm good at school, I do not have any problems and I do not know what my parents' problem is. How can I convince them or improve myself so that they allow me to get Netflix? You can't share an account with friends… They all already have Netflix

Link it to your grades. Do you have a cut of e.g. 2.2 then promise to pull the cut up to 2.0 and at least keep it.

Alternatively, as a payment, offer household chores such as bringing out the trash twice a week and vacuuming the apartment on Saturdays.

Alternatively, offer to pay in part or in full with your pocket money.

Just say that you have to give a presentation on biology or history and there's good documentation on Netflix. Then just say that there are a lot of documentaries about something you are doing at school.

Thank you

The best way to convince them is to ask them to activate the free month and see for themselves. You can create individual profiles there and it also offers added value for your parents, as there are not only films, but also very interesting programs. In addition, the monthly costs are manageable and it is also easy to cancel. Hope this helps you.

Do you get pocket money?

Then you could offer them that you co-finance a part… So get less money in your hand…

Otherwise, just ask them for specific reasons why they reject it. Perhaps they are afraid that you will only stare at all the free time and something… You can do something about it by sticking to agreements regarding the useful life… And without complaining about it if you do not want the parents to do so,

So talk about it factually with them. Like an adult would do that… So don't stand up like a toddler and just yell "I want" or something like that, but negotiate.

If your friends all have Netflix, someone may still have access for you. Each subscription has 5 accounts.

I always find it funny that teenagers should negotiate something in the household for the sake of help.

If my friends or I had suggested this to our parents, they would have laughed at us and thought it was a joke.

I agree with your other two suggestions.

Well, what we helped depends on the family.

This is about proposing to do more than was previously taken for granted.

If the parents have not fallen on the head, they refer to the libraries, YouTube (where there are documentaries from e.g. The BBC) and the media libraries from ARD, ZDF etc.
