Why does Netflix almost only order seasons with about 10 episodes - why so short?

Why do not they do about 20 episodes like on TV. What is less to do and longer to do than more and shorter episodes?

A sequence needs a certain structure. For movies that's usually 3 acts, it's a bit more complex on a series, but you can't start somewhere in the middle of it, then nothing happens in the middle, and then end somewhere in the middle, it's caustic to watch. So you have to divide the episodes so that there's still something like ne introduction, NEN middle part and an end, a recognizable for the audience arc etc. Depending on how the script looks like it can be done with shorter consequences may not accomplish, like you NEN Lord of the Rings movie could not squeeze in 70 minutes without it would seem extremely strange.

Less impact means fewer credits and less credits and less that has happened so far.

Otherwise, it does not really matter to Netflix, because you can anyway stop the episodes and continue watching as you want. On TV, on the other hand, there must be viewer-friendly snacks.

I think it is less risky because less money is spent and you can build more tension per episode
