How can I play Netflix with the projector?

I'm using a MacBook Air 2020 and when I connect the projector to the laptop, I can't play content from Netflix or Amazon Prime. Usually only a sound can be heard but no picture can be seen. For this I use a normal HDMI cable that was supplied with the projector. Do you know if there's a way to do that? It doesn't work with a Windows device either.

I guess, but does your Mac Book have HDCP protection? If the projector does not have this, it can't play any sources. But is usually in connection with a Blu-ray and a Blu-ray player so that you can't pick up and record the picture in between.

You ask me something:-) I really have no idea about the terminology. But thank you for your answer!

So if I switch off the HCDP protection on my Blu-ray player / receiver, for example, I can pick up the picture between the dePlayer and the TV in order to record it.

Blu-rays can't be played with deactivated HDCP, I have to reactivate it first. But the recording doesn't go that long.

No idea if a Mac Book has the same or something similar when streaming.

Bign Bing Bing. I'm right. Your Mac can output HDCP-secured content via HDMI, but only if the end device, i.e. Your projector, also has this copy protection. And sites like Netflix have HDCP protection on it. So that won't do anything with the projector if you can't turn on HDCP copy protection there.
