I'm totally fascinated by the series: "Anne with an e"! I have just finished looking and am now desperately looking for something similar…
The series was about an orphan girl who was adopted through a misunderstanding. Anne makes great friends and experiences many adventures. She also meets a boy in her class who she falls in love with over the course of the series.
And that's exactly what I'm looking for!

I don't have the right answer, but an interesting series came out recently. It's mainly about chess and a partly love affair. Maybe you are interested. Is called Queen's Gambit (Netflix).
