Is Free! A BL or even a Yaoi anime?

I wanted to watch another sports anime with a great team bond and I'm on Netflix for the Anime Free! Bumped. Apparently it's about swimming but the cover scares me a little.

Is Free a normal anime?

It's not like that BL is "abnormal". But Free doesn't quite fall into that category. The subject is "played around" a bit, but no clear romantic relationships between the boys are confirmed. Goes more in the direction of "Fujobait". This is a fan-made term for anime that, as I said, plays with the BL theme, but ultimately nothing happens.

As far as I know it was supposed to be a BL / Yaoi anime, but they didn't do it after all, which I personally think is a shame xD but the anime is really good
